How To Build A Following On Twitter
I’m not going to name drop in this article but there is a really effective way of building a mass of followers on the social networking site Twitter.
Theres two names that spring to mind for building a following in the way I’m about to tell you, theres probably more people who have tried this method but theres two that come to mind from the country where I’m based (England).
To build a following you need to get exposure, the internet has its downsides for certain types of promoting, allot of ads look the same and theres just to much text on some sites to even spot all the ads let alone take them in, Twitter seems to be mentioned pretty much several times a day now either on the radio or in the newspaper. If you can get a mention on either resource then your twitter following will increase greatly.
Most of my local papers are free to get a mention in, so why not look into using them for online promotion. Radio can be free as well to promote on, if you get involved in a discussion then drop your Twitter profile into the conversation, in London we have several talk radios where they mention twitter and online sites, so try to get involved in those types of conversations as it’ll be easy to drop your twitter profile.
To be honest I haven’t got round to using twitter yet, but I will be creating an account this week and I will be using the methods I mentioned to build a following.
