How to Increase Pagerank
When you are link building that is the time to work on your Pagerank. Pagerank is made up of different factors but the two main factors are content and inbound links. Google will assign a Pagerank to your website if the content is pretty unique, you don’t have to have any inbound links to get a Pagerank of 1-2.
If you own a business which isn’t unique then you need to produce good quality links from high page ranked sites. If you have a link from a Pagerank 10 site you will get what’s called Pagerank juice which is where the Pagerank 10 is linking to you and sharing its Pagerank. This doesn’t mean your page will be Pagerank 10 but some of the Pagerank juice is coming to your site. Websites that have a good Pagerank usually receive a good amount of traffic so getting a link on a high Pagerank site should increase your traffic as well as earning you some Pagerank juice.
The more inbound links from high page ranked sites the more Pagerank juice you receive and the potential for your sites Pagerank to rise is high. Google assigns Pagerank to pages rather than the site overall, so you might have a Pagerank 3 homepage but all inside pages are Pagerank 0. To increase the Pagerank on your inner pages you need to link build to them as well, the more pages in your website that have Pagerank the more it will benefit your site overall. Link building is a ongoing process for allot of people, you should be link building all the time or when you can.
When I do research in google and come across other people’s blogs I usually leave comments which helps the blog I’m viewing and will help me as well. I also look for an “advertise” link on pretty much all the sites I view to see if its worth advertising on there site. Building links can be a free process, but if your building links for traffic then sometimes its worth paying for a nice spot on one of the bigger sites.
Google came up with Pagerank mainly for there benefit so they can produce relevant results, google strives itself on how relevant the search results are to your search term. Google came up with a Pagerank system that rates your site from 0-10, having a good Pagerank will make your website appear higher in google for its search terms.
Google likes inbound links from relevant sites and if you can, try get your link within the body of the content instead of on the sidebar, and also try get your link on pages with similar key terms to you as this will help greatly.
If you do look for a link building company try to find one that produces links naturally i.e, directory submissions, scoial bookmarking ect as google will penalise your site if it thinks you have purchased links. Google doesnt like webmasters buying links to there site as originally a link used to be classed as a vote, and by adding a link on your site to someone elses you are voting for there website. Google wants your links to appear naturally and there is different criteris for link building depending on how old your domain is and how many inbound links you have already. Allot of people harm there websites, or get pages banned in google for “aggressive backlinking”, which means producing too many inbound links over a short period of time.
I always say “you learn from your mistakes”, by learning from your mistakes you will understand how far you can push a website when link building ect, a good seo expert will always push the boundaries to find the limits of seo.
