What’s The Best Way To Check Your Inbound Links, Also Know As Backlinks.
I’m going to talk about the free ways you can check your backlinks and see what sites are linking to you. There’s actually several ways you can check your backlinks effectively without paying for software and without taking much of you time up.
The first way is using the “link:” attribute in google when searching for your site. The number of links that will appear using this method wont be near as much as the other methods I am going to talk about. Using the “link:” search query google will only display a sub sample of inbound links, so if you want to see a more results and more detailed results then I suggest reading the next two methods.
The second method which is probably the best method to date is the backlink checker in google’s webmaster tools section. If you login to you’re webmasters area you will see pretty much every website that is linking to you, it won’t display the banned websites linking to you or the ones that are not indexed by google.
The last method which is time consuming but again its good to use depending on the results you want to see is the yahoo site explorer. Just go to yahoo.com and type in you’re domain name, the search box has been designed to pull back sites linking to the site you entered in the search box.
There are many different software’s available for you to purchase that will check you’re inbound links but what’s the point in paying for software when you have google’s webmasters tool section.
