Why You Cant Buy Web Links
Being in the seo link building world we get to speak with a lot of people about link building and find out works or doesn’t work for them.
.
Link building started off originally as a natural process and there wasn’t much talk about buying links, but now days as the markets get more saturated people want to rank higher in google and one of the ways people think they can achieve it is to buy text links that promote your keywords.
Buying text links is a big no no, if you can spare the time to read google’s guidelines it states that they frown upon webmasters that buy link and if it thinks you have been buying links then google will penalise you or in extreme cases ban your site completely.
Google’s Matt Cutts gave everyone the heads up about buying links and made it clear that its down to you what you do with your site but if you want to appear in google’s results page then you need to keep up to date with there guidelines.
Google makes anywhere from 100-300 tweaks each year, and when I mean tweaks I mean small things not like there big algorithm updates that tend to happen once or twice a year. Before I go I will mention something that Matt said at one of his recent presentations and that is just because google files patents it doesn’t mean it actually uses them in there algorithm, google files patents incase it wants to use them in the future.
