Does Google Still Use Meta Descriptions
Sometimes you’ll perform a search in google and you’ll notice that google will only use a snippet from that websites content to use as the description in the results page, even if that website has specified a meta description to be used.
The meta description has been around for a long time and google claim it gets used more now than it ever did and the reason why you dont see the meta description on the results page all the time is because google makes up its own mind about whats relevant to the users search query.
I still suggest that people use a meta description as from what we can tell it does play a part in seo but not as big as we thought.
So to answer the questions does google still use meta descriptions and is it worth me using them then the answer is yes.
