Does Website Age Make A Difference
I’m going to clear up a few things about this myth around the seo topic “website age”. People think that website age plays a big factor in how your website ranks but to be honest it doesn’t even make a noticeable difference. Website age is the last thing you should worry about, actually it’s not even a worry I wouldn’t even bother about website age, I have got many websites ranked on the frontpage of google for a lot of keyterms and the websites haven’t even been 12 months old.
The myth behind having an aged domain is complete rubbish, getting a good reputation and good ranking relies solely on the type of inbound links you have and the quality of your content.
Google loves sites with fresh content and will reward them accordingly; the more content you publish the more google will favour your site. To get a good ranking you need to work on your reputation with google and that means improving your pagerank, producing good quality links and keeping your site google friendly. If you have a good reputation with google then your site will natural rank well, for example all my posts naturally rank well even without promoting them.
Factors like links and on-site content/optimization are the main things you need to focus on, don’t worry about websites that haven’t been registered for that long as website age doesn’t matter anymore. Other off-site optimizations technique which you might want to adopt is server location and domain TLD as these affect your regional rankings.
